Exhibit Animations delivers key wet-condition animation to defend pedestrian in pedestrian vehicle collision case.
Q2 2020
The goal for this animation was to show how long the plaintiff was in the reasonable field-of-view of the defendant (the driver). We created this animation in collaboration with our client operating out of South Carolina.
The plaintiff had been struck by a moving vehicle in the middle of the day in rainy, wet conditions. The animation we created below is designed to show the point-of-view of the defendant and how long the plaintiff would have been within his view.
As you can see, the plaintiff is clearly visible after the driver has crested the hill. The driver in the animation is traveling at the posted speed-limit, 45 mph. The model of vehicle is exact and the plaintiffs’ clothing has also been customized to reflect what they testified to have been wearing at the time of the incident.
As an additional precaution against the defenses’ rebuttal, we made a second render at 40 mph. This further demonstrates if the defendant had been safely driving slower for conditions, they would have had even more time to see the plaintiff crossing on their skateboard.
The wipers, rain effects and reflections on the road were researched and incorporated to create a highly realistic environment, further legitimizing the demonstration on display in the final animation.
Exhibit Animations collaborated with professionals in the body mechanics field to make sure the animation was as accurate as possible.
